Tyler Carson has performed for crowds of thousands on the streets of Sedona. But the Red Rock Nature Concert is something else entirely — an intimate experience built for two, a family, or a small group of people who want to feel the land.

He walks you to a spot most people never find. A secret cave. A canyon overlook. A natural stage carved by time. Then he plays — classical, original, something in between — and the desert does the rest.

The whole thing runs about 75 minutes, start to finish. You'll leave different than you arrived.

What to wear

Dress for the weather that day — Sedona can shift. Comfortable shoes for a short, easy walk.

If you're booking for midday or afternoon, bring sunglasses and a hat. The sun is serious out here.

Sunset bookings are the most comfortable — warm air, golden light, and the canyon turns every shade of orange and red.

Layers are smart in spring and fall. Mornings in the canyon can be cool even when the afternoon is warm.

What to expect

The entire experience runs about 75 minutes — walk, concert, and back to your car.

No prior experience with classical music required. Tyler plays what the moment calls for.

These are public lands — occasionally there are other people nearby. Tyler knows how to find the quiet.

Most guests say very little during the concert. Something about the combination of the music and the space makes everyone go quiet in the best way.

How far do we have to walk?

About 5 minutes from the parking area to the concert location. It's an easy, flat trail — no hiking experience needed. If anyone in your group has mobility concerns, Tyler will take you to Cultural Park, which is even more accessible.

How many people can come?

The Red Rock Nature Concert is designed for intimate groups — 2 to 6 people. This is what keeps it personal. For larger groups of 8 or more, ask about Private Group Events.

What kind of music does Tyler play?

Tyler's style blends classical training with original composition and improvisation. He plays what the moment calls for — sometimes orchestral, sometimes melodic and personal, always connected to the landscape around you.

What's the best time of day to book?

Every time of day in Sedona offers something different depending on the season and your comfort preferences. Sunset is always a favorite for its dramatic light and cooler temperatures, while mornings are peaceful, vibrant, and less crowded. Midday experiences can also be beautiful — especially during cooler months — just be sure to bring appropriate clothing, hats, and water for the desert climate.

Can we bring alcohol or champagne?

Alcohol isn't permitted at the public canyon locations — but if you book a Custom Location (your hotel, villa, or Airbnb), you're absolutely welcome to include champagne, cocktails, or anything else you'd like.

Can we pick a specific location?

Tyler will choose the best spot for your group size and mobility. But if you have a specific place in mind — even your own property — a Custom Location booking puts you in control. Contact Tyler to discuss.

Is this good for a proposal?

There is almost no better setting on earth for a proposal than a private violin concert among Sedona's red cliffs at sunset. Tyler has done this. Book early and let him know — he'll help you set it up perfectly.
